The 6 sides of ME

WARNING: The following may be hilariously silly or annoyingly serious, or somewhere in between, changing tone without warning. Reader's discretion is advised. Do not drink, eat or operate heavy machinery while reading the following

I chose to start with me, myself and the "I’s" that I have over the Net, as well as games where you name your character. Everything about me applies to the others unless it obviously contradicts something. I’m planning to draw a group pic to go with this. BTW, there are 6 sides of Me (Other Half of Me by Icon of Coil + my many dice games)

Luis Raul Diaz Rios- Eternal Walker (90 minutes from home to town for over 5 years!)The Google Brain, The Duke of Games ( I know little of nobility ranks, but I'm sure Duke is lower than King XD) The Curious Gorilla. I have a few more nicknames, but they are exclusive to certain people, and others are the usual annoying school days nick you wish to erase from mankind's history. I grew real fast, so much that Mom had to argue at the last years I could still get kiddy tickets for movies and such! I have a skin thing that gives me "meat bumps" that end up with me covered in Band-aids even with the most expensive shavers, so I leave it for my monthly barber visit. I enjoy games so much I design a lot of them and remix almost every one I try out. I like to learn, and learning something new once a day is something I try to do. It's also why I try to learn Japanese any way available to me, besides the fact that I like anime, manga and many other things from Japan and other Asian countries. I have somewhat bad eyesight, which might be why I confuse details in pics sometimes, and why visual puzzles take me longer. Also, since English is NOT my first language (though I can read, talk and write it well enough, typos and all) I sometimes don't get the joke or real meaning of some things at first (Chrono Cross Just4Kicks attack; I told my friend there were just THREE kicks...)

Ramsey- The Gorilla artist, less scary than what most humans would think, just talk nicely and respectfully and you won't get hurt. A proud geek who doesn’t mind giving assistance or information whenever I can. Likes cute (the Peachtree dog from the TV ads) and humor (George Carlin makes heaven smile brighter now)

About my Google Brain- when someone tries to remember something I ask for keywords or genre. Since I read so much I usually know what they want to say. I tend to joke with computer terms, like needing to defrag my memories or that you need a codec to understand me talking (I will make a recording soon so you hear me and believe it or not XD).

"Trump"- making all this games I came up with the Duke of Games nicknames, and I came up with one more: YuGiJu. Any fellow BORICUA might figure that one out, but the Kanji for it mean the Beast of Games. Trump is like my Yami Yugi, though in my case is an ONLINE Yami. ANY bullies abusing of newbs will end up getting payback from me. I actually did something like that in (junior) high school days. I spent most of my free time (and then some) at the arcades, and I didn't like kids being pwned by highschoolers that obviously were better than them. I spent most of my time besides KOF or Neo Geo games, and once I notice what was going on, I would offer to take over at Round 2. By Round 3, I had won and the bully was gone. I even taught a few moves or combos when they asked! I'm sure that helped them NOT to be scared of me...

Tetsu- a Ramsey from a fully furry world, an amateur mage that contacted me by accident, then ended up in our world by accident. Until he somehow manages to go back, I have him as my houseguest. He's totally opposite of me, promiscuous, dirty jokes all the time, eats like the floor is his dinner guest, and a tornado would make less of a mess than he does! ... One of these days I'll end up learning magic to "help" him...

Ahndal- The Knight, The Blade of Righting. First time I remember using this one was for a browser game about knights. Since then I use him for war games, old or new, following my Second Lives concept. (Like Rudo and Bakari living in medieval times and then "reborn" into modern times) He is not part of an army so he won’t be forced to obey orders he thinks are wrong.

Rhaigan- The Barbarian, the Hate Killer. If there is someone a racist or bigot does not want to meet alone, it is Rhaigan. Not particularly a victim of them, but he does not allow them to hurt anyone. Unfortunately, he has a bit of the Berserker in him, meaning a short fuse and fast combat reflexes, instead of his mouth shooting off, it’s his left fist or right foot, usually right to the tender spots. Beware, he bites! Still, he is really a good guy, and he loves animals as much as they usually love him back. You might catch him playing around with pups or kitties to amuse kids, but you better not say anything about it… he still does not like being made fun off, so it's best not to joke about him, at least not when he MIGHT be around. If he is you will realize so when you wake up with a headache, and HOPEFULLY just that.

Rhaizan- The werebeast, a Law Berserk, not truly an anarchist, but if a rule doesn’t work out, he scraps it without blinking, also why he is solo instead of with a pack. WereGorillas are rare, and one like him is even more. He knows of Beastmen and has dealt with a few Rogues, but he prefers to keep living by himself if he can help it. I admit he is the least developed of the six for now, but that will soon change after I get the group pic finished.

Sexta Arcana

What do you know, I came up with MORE! This actually started with Phantasy Star 0 on DS, where there was no character to match me, so I got this idea of reversing my names like I did for some characters I made (whose names are just common/normal names reversed, like Reyvax=Xavier) where I made Yesmar a Human  Hunter, Dalahn a Newman Force and Gahnrai a HuCast.  Then I found the game Master of Magic (which TOTALLY deserves a sequel, NOW!) and I came up with the rest.

Yesmar- Nomad living near Tauron's domains.

Dalahn- I use the Merlin portrait for him. If Ahndal was in a castle, Dalahn would be a mage he would trust and fight alongside with and protecting each other and the citizens.

Ganrhai- I use the Raven portrait for him. Tribal shaman, friend of Beastmen, and Rhaigan might trust him if they met.

Zahnlai- I use the Rajak portrait for him. Rhaizan would warn anyone to stay away from this necromancer. He might not be out to take over the world, but one who deals with death magic is someone to be careful around, in my opinion.

Ra-Uhr-  Beastman Shaman, follower of Sss'ra. A healer when needed, but ready to fight any threats to his people.

?-  Well...

Commisions: Stripgames

WARNING: The following may be hilariously silly or annoyingly serious, or somewhere in between, changing tone without warning. Reader's discretion is advised. Do not drink, eat or operate heavy machinery while reading the following

I'm posting the official site for the apps I use (Japanese, but I am assured it is right to set up shop like this) so you can make them yourself if you like. I draw the art for the ones you commission me. I WON'T make them from art made by others. I also hope other artist join in and do these games as well, for fun OR profit...

Stripball game- Bakuretu Block= Java game; Mouse controlled Breakout/Arkanoid game, bounce the ball to break the blocks without letting the ball fall off the bottom. $6 first stage(2 art pages), +$3 per additional sequence stage (one more page), otherwise it's treated as a separate first stage.

Official page: http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA00.....ock/index.html

Sample page: http://animalism.kemono.cc/gallery/.....n/ouendan.html

OniB2= Flash Stripball game; can be controlled by keyboard or mouse, but some powerups are activated with the Z key. $6 first stage(2 art pages), +$3 per additional sequence stage (one more page), otherwise it's treated as a separate Both made for same price (it just takes a little formatting ) but OniB2 can link stages indefinitely! (For my own amusement and curiosity, i made a bunch from Oni's Dice CG; 20 lives for 5 stages is TOUGH!)

Official page: http://onikabe.x.fc2.com/

Samples page: http://isotonix.jp/ (the only non-hentai sample I ever found is gone with the artist's Pixiv... )

Scratch and Strip game- Keshi/kigae= Java game; click and drag to 'scratch' and reveal... $6 first stage(2 art pages), +$3 per additional sequence stage (one more page), otherwise it's treated as a separate first stage.

I can make Bakuretu, Keshi and OniB2 from the same art pages. Basically:
$6 first stage(2 art pages), +$3 per additional sequence stage (one more page), otherwise it's treated as a separate first stage.
Add $1 per every game considered first stage.

Full Stripball game set is $8 first stage(2 art pages), +$5 per additional sequence stage (one more page), otherwise it's treated as a separate first stage.

Official page: http://bakuretuken.birdynet.com/javakeshi/

Sample page: http://animalism.kemono.cc/gallery/.....gae/kigae.html

RPS game- JanKen= Java game; $5 each

Official page: http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA00.....ken/index.html

Well, that is all for now, until I work on the ones from this page a bit...

Crazy Ape Thought Process: Making up names

WARNING: The following may be hilariously silly or annoyingly serious, or somewhere in between, changing tone without warning. Reader's discretion is advised. Do not drink, eat or operate heavy machinery while reading the following

I was once stumped trying to name a few characters, and I somehow came up with this idea. Since my setting is another planet, this makes fantasy/alien names pretty much EVERY TIME.

1) Make a list of words that describe the character. Make it so you have crossword-like grid of letters (Notepad and the like make it easier with Courier and similar fonts) and write them as you come up with them, without trying to order them in any way!

2) After you have written enough words or just ran out of them, start reading each column in turn, playing around with them by trying out vowels among bunch of consonants. You can end up with first names, last names and potential relatives with this.

Another method I came up with when I REALLY want to write down a fic but I can’t come up with names. In these cases I try out semi-randomly two or three numbers in place of a name. Later on, when I finally have names I just Find/Replace it into the whole fic! In some cases, I actually worked the numbers into names!

Oops, I forgot one more method, but this one is kinda obvious: Backwards Names

BUT I put the added twist of Reversing HALF of it.

For example, I have this names I use for Other Me’s (in browser games, for example)

Ahndal=> Dahlan

Rhaigan=> Gahnrai

Rhaizan=> Zahnlai

Ramsey=> Yesumaru (Naruto fanon char)

And I also have used the Organization XIII method with a few.

Interactive Gallery RPG: Bare Adventure Begins!

WARNING: The following may be hilariously silly or annoyingly serious, or somewhere in between, changing tone without warning. Reader's discretion is advised. Do not drink, eat or operate heavy machinery while reading the following

A Bare Fist that can shatter any obstacle...
A Tempered Body that cannot be broken...
One tool to reach any destination...
Another to create your own path...

This is all he had when he walked away from his home. His father "had thought him enough", and went back to his 20 elder sons. He had made the Bare Fist known throught his homeland, but had only returned when he had received a letter saying on the sons he fathered during his travels as a Wandering Breeder showed to be worthy of the teaching of the Bare Fist. His father thought him, but did nothing else beyond that. He never gave his opinion of his dreams of seeing the world, unless him saying that "with a trained body and strong will, anyone could reach the ends of the world" was his way of approving or accepting...

His father left him behind, so he left his home as well. He walked through the old roads, certain that he would find a challenge to earn his freedom with his own satisfaction. He took with him the tools that had been discarded by the townsfolk, and then by his own father on the claim that his hands were capable enough...

He made the rope for the hook, which might have been a thief's tool if it weren't so brightly clean and preserved. He started making the rope to use it by itself at first, but whenever he added to its length he remembered the abandoned tool. When his father announce his leave, giving him no instructions, he decided to add as much lenth to the rope as he could suffer himself to make...

The other tool was quite unusual. At first it seemed to be an odd shovel, with a sword-like guard and an extra grip on the middle, but the head was even more bizarre: one side was sharpened like an axe would be, whilie the other was serrated, the line of sharp teeth ending ju before the curve began. He thought many time of a name for the chimera of solid wood and coldmetal, but the few that came to mind were from thoughts of people he would not have anything to do with...

As he was lost in his thought, some one from the small town called out to him and gave him a large cloth. He looked at it and then at sky, and realized it was likely to encounter rain. He gave a grateful bow and covered himself with the cloth, finding it could work as a simple cape... perhaps a loincloth, if he WANTED it to...

As he walked on the forgotten road, he thought of two places he could go, and the routes that would take him there.

A growing city was ahead, but the trading road avoided a forest most stayed away from. Going through the forest would shorten the distance, but not the perils...

There were also the mountains leading to a city far away. There's no travel in that direction, but it would be the shortest, and hardest route to a new place....

My experience with Tenchu DS

WARNING: The following may be hilariously silly or annoyingly serious, or somewhere in between, changing tone without warning. Reader's discretion is advised. Do not drink, eat or operate heavy machinery while reading the following

Yeah, an old game. Remember I buy used or get ROMs otherwise (we're globalized, but still NO Export For You, huh?!)

I saw the PlayStation games ( and lately, the Youtube Stealth Kill Exhibitions, too) and found them cool, but never tried them myself. I am not very good at most action games, and while there were not Pitfalls of Death in Tenchu (as far as I know) you had another thing to worry about: DO NOT RUSH IN SWINGING! You might survive a bunch of samurais, but the next time you might not! While some games have stealth missions, I wonder why isn't there some Ninja FPS out there...

BTW, I just read in Youtube of another game from the makers of Tenchu:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZcoISS_0DE

Well, the DS version seems more to me like Tenchu: Ninja's Deception.  After all, you need to make combo kills to get some stuff, and thanks for the utter lack of FAQs, I almost don't find THAT out! I did figure out Combo Kills thanks to getting scored for them after every mission, but that it was the ONLY KEY for the other stuff?! That's almost worthy of Seppuku...

The bottom screen is for managing your items (faster than L or R at times) and to see the map and the direction of nearby enemies. Pretty helpful, at least the way I happen to play. Unfortunately, the gameplay is a bit limited, in my opinion. The only way to eliminate any opposition is by trap combos, 1-trap Rinse-Repeat or BackslashSpamming:

Trap combos are clear for anyone that played Tecmo's Deception, Kagero or Trapt. Set up traps so that the victim falls on one, straight to the next, while you watch silently how they fall dead at the end. Laugh evilly after the mission is over   Another option is setting them up a bit farther from their patrol route, then bait them with a poison treat, either let them take it for an extra combo or Backslash them into the trap combo before that so you can pick and reuse it on another victim. Fall and Water kills are the best, since they are FREE XD (Backslash+high fall+water= 150 points for free) I put the biggest combo WAY at the bottom!

1-trap Rinse-Repeat : Put on trap in their way, hide, hear them scream, them limp away (Swamp gas explosion... ugh... nothing happened... ow, back to my patrol... ) Rinse, repeat.

BackslashSpamming means slashing them once from behind, then keep attacking before they can call for help. The weakest mooks go down form one Backslash, but after that... good thing you can interrupt their call for help and their slowest attacks.

The missions I hate are Cannot Be Seen, Mainly because they usually mean I had to throw away bait, and i'd rather reuse it because it's not easy to get the materials to make more. Sure, you can sale the photos from the Combo Kills, but  when you make the items there's a change to make them +1 or +2, and you can't buy those!

I still haven't beaten it, since I went back to it not long ago, but at least it's a fun game to pass some time with.  clearly no match for the big consoles, but it's not a bad game, either. I'll try it again with Ayame after I beat it, for sure!

Spoiler: Super Max combo theory!

Poisoned/laughing/beartrap/caltrops victim + Backslash + spike trap + mine + hi-fall + water= 300 points and Video Game Cruelty Max (Note: haven't tested if you can do a Sub Zero by hitting them into caltrops to slash them again, and there's throwing poison/explosives at them if it does work...)

It's all aout the WHOLE package! This proves my point

WARNING: The following may be hilariously silly or annoyingly serious, or somewhere in between, changing tone without warning. Reader's discretion is advised. Do not drink, eat or operate heavy machinery while reading the following

It's all aout the WHOLE package! These games prove my point

I don't play Resident Evil games for two reasons, the game type and the control method (I just cannot move around as I want as I do with the usual mode) and if a game has that control scheme I just stop playing right away. I don't play driving games for the same reason (except Speed Racer since I somehow managed to handle it and Mario Kart for obvious reasons... right, DK?) because not being able to control myself (sounds weird, huh?) is NOT a fun thing for me...

Well, I just found this game

http://kotaku.com/#!5107096/like-mi.....n-a-china-shop

http://kotaku.com/#!5109356/minotau.....ina-shop-diary

Reading up the game sounded just too much to pass. BUT when I tried to WALK to the right... I'm turning in place...

OH NO...

Then I see my first customer is a PEGASUS?

OK... You want a plate? Must be in that green-glowing table... uh,oh! Ah, its just a plant pot... Ok, here's the plat...

CRASH!

... Never mind... Here's your plate. Do come again! :D (Bull smile)

I never thought I would actually have fun stumbling through a store... which actually happens to me IN REAL LIFE (I AM pretty big, you see?) But I still want to try and LEARN to make a clean playthrough... though it seems to be NAUGHTY fun to have a DEMOLITION RAVE

http://vimeo.com/11878443

Well, my point is that while some people get hooked by graphics or sound, and others go for genres or franchises, sometimes yo need to check the whole deal. That's part of why some of my friends (ONE specifically) thing I will play ANYTHING (he said LEGO star Wars...one of the LEGO games, which I DO NOT PLAY) while I simply am open-minded enough to try and discover some games that are fun despite being cheap or pretty much unknown.

Hopefully more demos will come out and people will AT LEAST get the chance to see how good games really are beyond first glance and advertising hype.

... and this was meant to be a serious post with a serious message...

What do you know.? I found one that actually makes my point MUCH clearer!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQOqXD8BtHo

http://db.tigsource.com/games/toribash

Get the game at the second link after reading some comments, hopefully.

A more polished (and REASONABLY restricted) form of this would be REALLY nice

Let me try to explain what I mean in a CCG example. For even MORE insanity, both opponents start WITH THEIR BACK TURNED

Psycho Seme decides he wants to go Mortal Kombat style and sent some body parts (and BLOOD) flying, so he plays face-down:

Jump
Power
Spin
Breaker
Kick

After both fighters set down their move, the actual attacks are resolved, who now he sees Uke Troll actually played:

Duck
Delayed Power (loses priority/goes 2nd)
Thrust
Pierce
Kick

Basically, what this should represent is that:

Psycho Uke turns around with a Spinzaku-like Killer Spin Kick, Uke Troll (of the hated kind, not the fantasy one) simply ducks, waits, and then pulls out a Senkyutai rising kick that might leave Psycho Uke either an invalid or a FEMALE...

Better just watch the Toribash vids... though there might be more creepy/ gut-wrenching stuff than what I somehow just wrote...

Expanding the shop!

WARNING: The following may be hilariously silly or annoyingly serious, or somewhere in between, changing tone without warning. Reader's discretion is advised. Do not drink, eat or operate heavy machinery while reading the following

Back online, back in business! XD

I already draw and write, and can make animated GIFs (all of which can get better) and now I got an old Macromedia Flash and Photoshop so I think I can expand my product line! ... as long as I can learn how to use them.

As a bit of a training session, I got back to Bakuretu Block. Ochea again, for those new to it (as few as that may be, since I'm not a FA Idol! X-D) here's a CoPaste from the FAQ I wrote for it:

It's a Java game just like Break Em All, Breakout or Arkanoid. You control a pad you use to shoot and bounce a ball that will clear blocks to reveal what's underneath. Here's the site for the version I have:

http://www.vector.co.jp/authors/VA006860/

And here's a link to my favorite:

http://members.jcom.home.ne.jp/tets.....ame/index.html

WARNING! This one is a Stripball game with "Happy Ending" for adults only!

I got a pack made by an English-speaking fellow, and I realized a bit of code he missed/forgot, so if you wanna try, and I hope you do, let me know! I spent a lot of time figuring out how to make the GIFs for the top layers of the games with Photoshop (since the image editor I use happens not to make GIFs... though it CAN make Photoshop image files... HAH) so I went through a lot of work and I still can't get them done right, and while I got them working right for the game, I keep getting this 'halo effect' that makes the borders stand out, and IT LOOKS HORRIBLE, not to mention that it totally ruins the surprise factor (trying to guess what goes away first) in the 2-stage games. Sometimes it doesn't happen, but no matter what order I format the pics to make the layers, it doesn't seem to make a difference, and that's annoying! Anyway, I know enough about Photshop to do almost everything I did with my old image editor (except a few things I have NO IDEA where they are in Photoshop!) so hopefully I will do better with my art from now on... as soon as I learn shading and coloring, of course!

Back to BakuBlock, I made over TWO DOZEN games in a week, about a dozen a day, and I'm confident enough to add them to my products list. I'm not sure if it's OK to use the Baku Block pack like this, but if it is, I think I'll make BakuBlock games for $8, since it's one pic with up to 2 layers, or 12 if it is the 2-stage Mix I figured out later on (actually, the one in the link above is like that, too) so that's two pics to do besides the layers and formatting. I'll also include how to make your own to enjoy at home! ;D

About those two dozen games... most I made from pics from Pixiv and FA, so OBVIOUSLY I'm not selling those, but If you like I can get you CD of my 6 (so far) own original ones, and more or less successful Baku Blocks with the Japanese and English packs (each with their own game) and the FAQ I wrote for $9 (I'm running out of CDs, so first buyer helps me AND the rest of the customers! X-D) while the one made by inspiring (and easy to format >:D) art from FA will have it e-mailed to them pretty soon. I hope they enjoy it as much as I do. Making them isn't that bad now, either... XP

BTW, lately I've been writing 'game journals' and I did a creation journal for these BakuBlocks, at least up to the tenth entry. I did a few more after that, but otherwise I would never finish writing it! It's just some ideas and a bit of my thoughts and happenings while I was doing this

Somehow, after I installed Flash 8, I forgot that most expensive programs have a Help section tht's about as big as the manual, so while I was depressed over being offline, I figured I had no way of learning how to use it. Well, a random click got me opening Flash, and I clicked Help just to check, and sure enough, I just need a few hours to learn how to use it, and then maybe I need some extra lessons to get a game or two going! For now I'll stick to traditional animation and other game-making apps, but I really want to take the next step, so who knows when I'll manage...

There is also this game in the Internet. These are for adults, but they are more complex and interesting than Bakuretu Block. They got powerups and even a hi-score ranking!

http://montatata.x.fc2.com/block/sample.html

http://onikabe.x.fc2.com/

http://www.isotonix.jp/

I got the editor from there, but apparently it is to put in their site or I have to do something else. Anyone that knows enough Japanese to learn me decipher this will have me being VERY grateful to them! And making more games, of course.

BTW, I found this site in Ron-9's works...

http://mygamestudio.x.fc2.com/

Know that there alternative "games" that may not be liked by all viewers (I'd tell you which, but I am walking in the dark myself...O_o)
